Our Founder

I'm Kathryn Healy, an educator, Orton–Gillingham Associate, former U.S. intelligence analyst, chef, and founder of Kraft & Kind.

I hold a Master of Education, a bachelor's degree in English and Anthropology, and a Cambridge CELTA Young Learner qualification, and I'm pursuing an MBA at Harvard Business School. Before founding Kraft & Kind, I worked in the U.S. intelligence community, supporting national security operations across multiple combatant commands and spending several years overseas.

My experience spans literacy intervention, classical education, analytical reasoning, international travel, and the culinary arts. I've also spent years educating my own neurodivergent children, adapting instruction to their individual strengths and learning needs.

I founded Kraft & Kind to bring these experiences together: rigorous, personalised instruction; intellectually challenging classes; creative, hands-on learning; and opportunities for young people to put their knowledge and skills to work in service of others.
